Man shot during hijacking in Midrand parking lot

A man was shot and his vehicle stolen on the corner of Old Pretoria Road and Moritz Avenue in Midrand.


Midrand police spokesperson, Constable Matome Tlamela, confirmed the shooting and hijacking which took place on the corner of Old Pretoria Road and Moritz Avenue in Midrand.

“The victim was shot in the thigh and taken to a nearby hospital. The suspects allegedly drove off with the victim’s Golf 5.” The vehicle has not been recovered.

Police are investigating the case and no arrests have been made, however police are looking for the suspects.
