Impilo schoolchildren receive animal welfare talk from Midrand SPCA

Inspector Jerry Seemise talks to the children of Impilo Primary School.

Midrand SPCA visited Impilo Primary School on 30 June to deliver a talk on animal welfare.

Inspector Jerry Seemise delivered the talk to the schoolchildren and taught them about how to take care of animals as well as the importance of sterilisation and vaccination. The children were also taught how to report animal cruelty cases and how to plan for pets safety before going away on holiday.

“Education plays a big role in animal welfare so our inspectors do proactive work at schools,” said chairperson for Midrand SPCA, Brenda Lucas.
