Front: Nompumelelo Bhila (prefect), Mokgadi Ngubeni (deputy head girl) and Kiara Ruston (prefect).

In what has been described as an elegant celebration, the top performers at Glen Austin High School were recognised at the school’s fourth annual awards evening.

Academic colours were awarded to some for their academic achievements and the sports stars for 2017 received trophies.

Principal Alec Abbott congratulated the recipients on their outstanding achievements.

The fourth annual awards evening was attended by proud parents, the Grade 8s to 12s, educators and the school management.

The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the 2018 prefects, the head boy – Cole Chetty – and head girl – Lungile Tshabalala.

The evening was a celebration of hard work and excellence at Glen Austin High School this year.
