Four people were left injured this morning, 10 January, when a small taxi rolled over the roadside barrier and crashed into a ditch off the R101 in Midrand.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find another service already assessing the patients. Three patients were found to have sustained moderate injuries while a fourth, a woman, had sustained more serious injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured woman with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
