“Beach tennis is a fun and simplified version of tennis and offers a great entry point into our sport for first- time players,” he said.
“Indeed, we see the format as being a powerful tool for tennis development.”
In addition, the new partnership will also see beach tennis courts being built at TSA Growthpoint development centres in Soweto, Atteridgeville, eThekwini and Cape Town.
David Sieff, marketing director for Kia Motors South Africa said, “Kia Motors has a longstanding association with tennis globally through the Australian Open, but also locally through our association with Team South Africa and Davis Cup.”
He continued that it is a fun and fresh format that is open to everyone, regardless of their experience or their skills levels.
